OnePlus 15 and OnePlus 15R Launch Timeline, Renders & Details Leaks

The Chinese company, OnePlus, is preparing to launch its next-gen flagship phone. It will be the successor to the OnePlus 13 and will be named as OnePlus 15. If you are wondering what happened to the OnePlus 14, well, it was skipped because the number 14 is considered a bad omen in China. That said, now we have new information regarding the upcoming phones from the company.

A prominent tipster that goes by the name Tech Geek on Weibo has revealed interesting information. According to him, OnePlus will launch two new smartphones: the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus Ace 6. Further, he adds that they will be released in October 2025.

OnePlus 15 and OnePlus 15R Launch Timeline, Renders & Details LeaksBefore you get too excited, it must be noted that this release is for the Chinese market only. The global launch, meaning the launch in markets outside China, is likely in Q1 2026.

Moving to the devices, the OnePlus 15 is rumored to feature a brand new display from BOE. It will be a smaller panel than the OnePlus 13 and will even have a lower resolution. But the company will compensate with a higher refresh rate of 165Hz.  Additionally, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset. The battery capacity may see a jump to more than 7,000mAh. The tipster emphasizes that the OnePlus 15 is going to focus on performance. Though it will still have a complete rear camera setup with a periscope telephoto sensor.

For those of you wondering about the OnePlus Ace 6, it will be an upper mid-range offering. It is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Globally, it may launch as the successor to the OnePlus 13R, with the moniker “OnePlus 15R.” The rest of the specs remain a mystery for now.

Before the conclusion, it is worth noting that the leaker also shared a render (check featured image) of both phones. By no means is this render official, but it still gives us a rough clue of the new design language. The OnePlus 15 departs from the circular camera design found on its predecessors with a square housing. Meanwhile, the Ace 6 / OnePlus 15R seems elegant with a vertical camera setup.

    TLDR:

    • OnePlus is expected to launch two phones in October.
    • The OnePlus 15 will focus on performance.
    • New design language expected to debut.
