Huawei and Porsche had a partnership to design special edition Mate series phones and smartwatches, but that partnership ended last year.
Earlier today, Huawei launched its new ultra-premium branding called Ultimate Design. The brand has revealed its first smartphone of this series, the Huawei Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design.
Huawei Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design Edition
The Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design Edition is similar to the Mate 60 Pro+ specs-wise. It features a 6.82″ LTPO OLED display, Kirin 9000s chipset, 48MP + 48MP+ 40MP cameras, and a 5,000 mAh battery.
Visual Changes
There are some noticeable visual changes though. The Mate 60 RS Ultimate features a ceramic back and an octagon-shaped camera island. You can choose between red and black colors with dual-tone finishes.
Exclusive Privileges
Huawei also offers exclusive free one-year privileges for Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design customers who apply for a Huawei card. These include VIP lounge service at airports and train stations, flight delay insurance, lawyer consultation, and equestrian lessons among others.
Star Diamond Protective Cases
Huawei is also selling exclusive Star Diamond protective cases in black and red which cover the front and back of the Mate 60 RS Ultimate.
Storage Models and Prices
The phone comes with two storage models with varying prices. The 16GB 512GB model costs ¥11,999 ($1,641), while the 16GB+1TB model costs ¥12,999 ($1,778).
The phone is currently available for pre-order and will go on sale on September 28 in China.
