Sony has recently unveiled a new set of colors for its PlayStation 5 console, called the Deep Earth Collection. The beautiful and powerful hues found in the depths of planet Earth inspired this new set. The collection includes three colors: Volcanic Red, Cobalt Blue, and Sterling Silver.
Volcanic Red
The Volcanic Red set is a deeper, brighter shade of red than the previously revealed Cosmic Red set, which had a magenta color to it. The new hue also has a metallic touch, which gives it a more gleaming luster.
Cobalt Blue
The Cobalt Blue is likewise a darker shade of blue than the previously mentioned Starlight Blue and has hints of purple in it. Like the red, Cobalt Blue has a metallic finish to it.
Sterling Silver
Finally, the Sterling Silver is just a plain shining silver with the same metallic quality as the other two colors.
Price and Release Date of Deep Earth Collection
The Deep Earth Collection will only be offered as extra covers and controllers for existing owners, which means you won’t be able to buy a new PS5 system in these colors. The extra covers cost $60 each, and the DualSense controllers cost $75. Pre-orders begin on October 4th, with Volcanic Red and Cobalt Blue becoming available on November 3rd, 2023, and Sterling Silver becoming available on January 26th, 2024.
