As everyone knows, GTA 6 is the most leaked game ever. Nowadays, we get leaks every day, which is quite expected because Rockstar Games is not giving any official updates about the development of GTA 6. GTA 6 was announced in 2022, and since then, we haven’t gotten much information. Until now, we have been depending on leaked information, and this might continue until the release of the game.
The information we have gotten until now is about the protagonists of the game. In Grand Theft Auto 6, there will be a female protagonist named Lucia for the first time. Alongside her will be a male protagonist named Jason.
We haven’t gotten any official release date yet, but we are expecting to get GTA 6 in early 2024 or 2025. However, we might also get a trailer for the game in November. Talking about the release of the game, Take-Two Interactive might want to say something regarding the release date.
GTA 6 Release Date revealed?
A leaker known as @GTA6SPAM on Twitter recently posted a tweet regarding the release date of the game. He shared a leaked voice note from Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, but the problem is that it has since been taken down due to a copyright strike, and we can no longer hear it.
Now here’s the real deal. This voice note might be fake as there is a chance that the voice is AI-generated. There were some words that were spoken as just an AI was asked to speak.
Zelnick said in the voice note, ‘The plans for the next Grand Theft Auto game are set, and we expect Rockstar Games to be one of our labels that are expected to launch a new title in Fiscal 2025, which would, um, of course, be the next Grand Theft Auto that is set to be launched in Fiscal 2025. Um, uh, October 24 to be precise, actually.’
Further, he continues saying ‘And, um, an announcement is expected to be coming from Rockstar’s side very soon this coming October 23, actually, and we do expect out of the many titles launching within Fiscal 2025, we expect a high percentage of that $8 billion in net bookings to come from the next Grand Theft Auto. So hopefully, everything goes as planned, and the strategy for VI goes the way we expect it to. And, yeah, that’s pretty much all I have to say on my behalf.’
We don’t know yet if the recording was real or not but now we know the release date somehow. According to Zelnick’s statement in the voice note, Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be launched on October 24, 2025.
Was it a real recording?
“We can’t tell how much of the recording was fake and how much was real. Although it got copyrighted, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it was real. However, it’s too early to say anything. We should take all the rumors with a pinch of salt.
This rumor should have brought excitement for the fans as they were looking forward to the announcement; however, it wasn’t an announcement.
GTA 6 might be released in 2024 or 2025.
