Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, announced on May 24, that he has chosen a replacement for the Tesla CEO from the board of directors who would take over the business in the event that Musk is no more because of an accident.
Elon Musk Chooses His Successor
Musk shared his words with the board of directors at Tesla saying;
I have informed the board of directors, who the Elon Musk Successor will be;
“Listen, if something happens to me, this is the person I recommend to you to take over the company,”
Musk said at a media event on Tuesday, adding that he had nominated a successor to Tesla’s board of directors who would run the company “in the worst case.”
This announcement is also made because Tesla’s board of directors director James Murdoch said in court last year that the investors were concerned that Musk would be preoccupied with Twitter. So he played a great move by showing that Tesla is getting the full focus with or without Elon Musk and that there is an Elon Musk Successor in line.
