Yes, you read that correctly, the streaming giant Netflix is working on up to 30 min ad breaks. For the people on the lower costing tier, they may soon now be interrupted by advertisements which are up to 30 minutes long.
Netflix AD subscription
The low costing tier of Netflix shows advertisements to the subscribers while charging them a lower cost. This has gained the streaming giant a load of new subscriptions. Reports say Netflix’s monthly active users have reached 5 million. By the end of March, Netflix had 232.5 million paid subscribers worldwide.

Now the company is working with advertisers to potentially have longer 30 min ads on the platform.
Netflix 30 min ads
Netflix has been meeting up with advertisers and planning on an exclusive ad format which will be only shown on the streaming platform.
The large-form advertisement will be well-made and shot. It will be like a story. The viewers will have to watch the ad before they start streaming any new show or movie. Most probably the ad will be only there if the viewer starts a new show. So it is not like before every episode you will get Netflix 30 min ads.
The meeting is planned and this might be implemented very soon. Viewers can only pray that Netflix scraps this idea.
