The online streaming giant Netflix, not too long ago announced a new low-cost subscription tier where the users will see advertisements on Netflix in return they will pay a lower monthly amount.
Ads On Netflix
This tier is essentially to make the market more competitive. Instead of paying $10 per month for Netflix, users can just pay $7 and get Netflix. But along with watching movies, they will also get interrupted by Ads.

This concept is very similar to that of YouTube Premium, However, YouTube with ads is free.
Is It Worth It?
The question comes down to, is saving $3 really worth seeing all the advertisements on Netflix which is supposed to be a premium product? In my opinion, I don’t think so.
Netflix has always been a premium subscription, while you are paying for the service, I don’t think you should be seeing any advertisements. Moreover, the amount you are saving is not also that much.

Anyways, Netflix reports they have got good results and gained more subscriptions.
Low-Cost Tier attracts Subs
As reported by the source, Netflix executives said that the low-cost advertising package has achieved good results after the launch, and monthly active users have reached 5 million. This seems to be working well for Netflix.
