Google I/O 2023 just wrapped up. It was a long event and multiple announcements were made, and multiple products were shown. From the Pixel Fold, all the way to the AI. Here is everything the event was about.

Google Pixel 7A

Google I/O 2023

Yes, google announced the pocket-friendly version of the Pixel 7. The Pixel 7a at first looks identical to the last year’s Google Pixel 7. The phone comes at $499 making it $100 cheaper than the Pixel 7.

There are not many differences in terms of performance either. The Pixel 7a comes with a smaller 6.1″ display, a plastic back, & a smaller camera sensor. Other than that, the phones are almost identical.

I have to say, the 7a is great and all but you can find a Google Pixel 7 for $499 second-hand. So yeah the choice is up to you.

Google Pixel Fold

The much-leaked and rumored pixel fold is finally official!

The Pixel Fold comes with a much regular form factor. The outer screen is a 5.8″ 120Hz OLED panel with an FHD+ resolution. Moreover, the inner display is a 7.6″ OLED screen having QXGA+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Pixel Fold has the Tensor G2 system-on-a-chip with a Titan M2 co-processor, 12 GB of memory, and a 4,821 mAh battery.

It’ll retail for a steep $1,800, but Google Store deals will get you a Pixel Watch free of charge.

Google Pixel Tab

Google I/O 2023

This much-awaited product was shown off at the Google I/O. It was almost teased a year ago and then just now it has been launched.

The Pixel Tablet comes with a 10.95-inch LCD screen with 500 nits of typical brightness. It’s powered by Google’s Tensor G2 chipset and features the Titan M2 security coprocessor. You get 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128 or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

AI Steals The Show

Google I/O 2023

Google released its AI chatbot called Google Bard. This time they have made improvements to the AI. Google has changed the language base to Palm 2 instead of LaMDA. PaLM 2 aims to fix some of Bard’s shortcomings and provide a path forward. Based on early demos, PaLM 2 appears to be a more powerful language model than its predecessor. This will improve the chatbot which is now available in 180 countries.

Google has also integrated AI into Google Workspace. Now with the help of AI your work will become more efficient and better.

Lastly, AI has been added to the search engine a demo was shown where like Bing, Google will now show results in plain text.

This was everything major regarding the Goole I/O 2023. What do you think? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
