Apple much expected and awaited new M3 chip has been delayed. It has been made assumption that the new Macbook and the new iPads might also get delayed and not get announced at WWDC.
Apple M3 Chipset
The M3 chipset is the successor to the Apple M2. This new chipset is said to be more powerful while being efficient at the same time. It will make the devices run faster while saving battery life and processing power.
Orgionally, Apple planned to launch the new iPads and 13″ Macbooks with touchbar this year companied with the new Apple M3 Chipset. But now things seem different. Due to insufficient production capacity of TSMC’s 3nm process, the delivery of M3 chips is delayed until next year.
When the chips will get delivered next year, how will Apple be able to launch the products this year?
Keeping that in concederation, it is speculated that there will be no new M3 Macbook or iPad launching this year.
Does This Mean No New Products?
No,ofcourse not. Apple will surely launch new iPhones and Apple Watches. New IOS, MacOS, iPadOS, WatchOS, and other software updates will also be launched.
But the main source of income for Apple, the Macs, the Macbooks and the iPads, unfortunately there will be no new launches.
Some speculations do however, suggest that iPad Air, iPad Mini and the Macbook Air might see a launch using the M2 chipset as these products come under the “budget category” for Apple.
Apple lovers will surely be sadened to see that the Macbooks and iPads are getting delayed but as they say better late than never. You might have to wait a while but the M3 chipset will be worth the wait.
