It has been quite some time since the launch of the Z Flip 4. Samsung has almost finalised their new flip phone. The Z flip 5 is just around the corner and it will launch soon. But this time the outer display will no longer be a small notification window, instead, it will be a bigger OLED usable display.

The Galaxy Z flip 5 devices will come with substantial upgrades, including a waterdrop hinge that will allow the phones to fold shut without leaving a gap.
Other than that, the rumours point out that the Z Flip 5 will have an even bigger battery and a faster processor as well. Other than that, the device will have a new hinge mechanism called the “water drop hinge” that will allow the crease to appear smaller than the previous models. It will be less notable.
Moreover, Recent leaks and concept images suggest that the bigger cosmetic change is that the outer display will no longer be the 1″ display to glare at notifications. The outer display will be significantly bigger resembling that of the Motorolla Razer.
While the exact dimensions are still unknown this rumour has the most potential to be confirmed, we expect it to be somewhere between 3 to 4 inches. It is not yet clear whether Samsung will allow users to use entire apps on the cover display or how will they implement it.
I am guessing that Samsung will do some software trickery to make the most out of the outer display as it will be a huge point for new and returning customers.
The main display will not see any major changes however, there might be slight improvements like slimmer bezels by 0.1″ or something.
