Sony fans are excited to see the next generation of the Sony Xperia 1 series smartphones. The unannounced Xperia 1 V is expected to come out this summer. Some renderings of the phone have been leaked before, and now a new schematic has been revealed by a Weibo user.
The first Xperia 1 was 167 x 72 x 8.2 mm, and the next three models, including the Xperia 1 IV, were 165 x 71 x 8.2 mm. The weight of the phones has also been almost the same, with less than a 5 g difference between the Xperia 1 II and the Xperia 1 IV.
The earlier leaks by @OnLeaks suggested that there will be a change in dimensions for the next Xperia 1. It was said that the phone would measure 161.0 x 69.3 x 8.5 mm. Which is a big change from the previous Xperia 1 series smartphones.
Now the latest news is that @ZACKBUKS has said that the previous leak of @OnLeaks was incorrect. He has shared a new CAD render of the Sony Xperia 1 V. The phone’s dimensions are 164.68 x 70.89 x 8.54 mm or simply 165 x 71 x 8.5 mm. Hence, the phone is very identical to its predecessors in terms of width and length. However, the Xperia 1 V is slightly thicker.
Sony Xperia 1 V Expected Specifications
According to earlier reports, the Sony Xperia 1 V will have a similar design to the previous generation. It will have a 6.5-inch flat screen and a triple camera on the back. The cameras are 12 MP main camera + 48 MP wide-angle camera + 12 MP telephoto camera. The battery is expected to be 5000mAh, the processor is expected to be Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, and the memory is expected to be 16GB.
Apparently, it is also said that the phone will keep the 3.5mm headphone jack. And of course, the physical shutter button will remain. Sources say that the Xperia 1 V will be available in the summer of 2023.
