Oppo just released the brand new Oppo Find X6 Pro smartphone bringing some amazing specs and features to the table. On paper, the device looks solid but how does it hold up with the others?
Oppo Find X6 Pro
The Find X6 Pro is the latest and greatest addition to the FindX series. This series has been mostly camera-focused with top-notch specifications. Oppo also loved to experiment with this series. They have tried various things like the pop-up camera on the front, then front and back both pop-up cameras.
With the Oppo Find X6 Pro, we see that Oppo has continued to give us amazing specifications.
Specifications
The Oppo Find X6 Pro comes equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, Adreno 740 GPU with up to 16GB of RAM. The display is a huge 6.82-inch 1440p HDR AMOLED with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. To power this tank we get a 5000 mAh battery, with 100W wired charging that can go from 0% to 100% in 30 min.
Camera
Moving on to the camera at the back, we see a huge circular bump housing a main 50 MP, f/1.8, lens with a 1-inch sensor. Along with that, we see another 50 MP, f/2.6, 65mm periscope telephoto lens with 2.8x zoom. Finally another 50 MP, ultrawide can be seen. The ultrawide and telephoto share a 1/1.56-inch sensor
The Hasselblad collaboration is mostly a name stuck to the back with nothing too notable. However, the camera and colours are pretty nice.
Inside the Box
Inside the box, we get the phone, along with a 100w charger & the charging cable. Pretty nice of Oppo to include the charger.
Software
Coming to the software experience. The phone gets Android 13 under Oppo’s ColorOS 13.1. However, as the phone is china only, some features like Play Store are missing.
Pricing
The phone is priced at 5999 yuan (~$872/PKR 247K) for the base variant.
How does it compare?
Let’s slide the specifications to the side and talk about IRL use. How does this compare to the other leading flagships like the iPhone 14 Pro Max or the Samsung S23 Ultra?
Comparing it to the S23 Ultra, the phone holds up pretty well. Both phones have their pros & cons. Like Samsung has space zoom, the pen & the whole OneUI. While the Find X6 is having its Hasselblad collaboration, it the better battery life and faster charging.
Now compared to the iPhone 14 Pro Max, we step into a different territory as the ecosystem kicks into play. The A15 Bionic is an amazing chipset and so is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Comparing head to head both perform very well. While Oppo does edge out when coming to camera features and some bells & whistles, the iPhone holds its ground thanks to IOS and optimisation. But, if we count the battery into play, the iPhone gets blown out of the water as it is still stuck at 20W “Fast Charging”.
In the end, it all comes down to preference. If Oppo ever decides to release the phone out of China, I will love to try it.
