vivo Y100 top features: Dimensity 900, OIS camera & more

Vivo has released its latest smartphone, the Vivo Y100, in India. The new smartphone is equipped with a 100Hz AMOLED screen and MediaTek Dimensity 900 chip, offering a smooth and high-quality user experience. In this article, we will take a closer look at the features and specifications of the Vivo Y100.

Display and Design

The Vivo Y100 boasts a 6.38-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It supports up to 1300 nits of peak brightness and features DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. The Pacific Blue and Twilight Gold versions of the phone have color-changing fluorite AG glass on the back that changes color when exposed to ultraviolet light.

The phone is also equipped with a rear-mounted 64MP main camera with OIS support, along with 2MP macro and 2MP depth cameras.

Performance and Battery

The Vivo Y100 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 900 chip and has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It also supports microSD slot expansion space. The phone runs on the Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13 system and is equipped with a 4500mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging.

Other Features

The phone also features on-screen fingerprint recognition, IP54 protection, and a hybrid dual SIM card slot. The Vivo Y100 is available in three colors: Pacific Blue, Twilight Gold, and Metallic Black. The promotional price of the 8GB+128GB version is INR 24999.

Conclusion

The Vivo Y100 has some great points such as an OIS camera and a strong chipset. It gets the basics correct, targeting an all-around experience. However, if I could change one thing about the phone it would have been the old teardrop notch. I believe no smartphone in 2023 should feature such a notch. Anyways, do let us know if you are also triggered by this notch or if is it just us in the comments below.
