The well-known technology company, Honor, is getting ready to launch its newest series of smartphones, the Magic 5. The launch is expected to take place at this year’s Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona. A teaser image has been recently tweeted by a well-known tipper with the caption “Go beyond the Galaxy to witness the real Magic” which is a clear indication that Honor has big plans for its upcoming flagship device. The devices will run on Android 13 OS with Magic UI 7.0. Additionally, the Magic 5 series will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 5.0 storage.
The Magic 5 will have a 5,000mAh battery capacity with 66W fast charging, while the Magic 5 Pro and Magic 5 Prestige Edition will have 4,800mAh battery capacity with 50W of wired and wireless charging. All three devices will also support the 40W UFCS charging standard. Furthermore, all three devices will feature a fingerprint scanner embedded in the display and 3D facial recognition, except for the Magic 5 which will only have 2D face unlock.
The Magic 5 series will also support 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, USB 3.1, dual speakers powered by Dolby, an X-axis linear motor, and USB 3.1. The Magic 5 and Magic 5 Pro will have a metal-glass hybrid chassis while the Magic 5 Prestige Edition will have a nano-ceramic build. Additionally, the Magic 5 will have an IP54-rated chassis while the Magic 5 Pro and Magic 5 Prestige Edition will have IP68 protection against water and dust.
