OnePlus Ace 2 will be a follow-up to the OnePlus Ace launched earlier in the year. The OnePlus Ace was renamed the OnePlus 10R. 10R was launched in India while the Ace was specific to the Chinese market. A OnePlus Ace Racing Edition was also launched after the original Ace.
We will be comparing the expected specifications of the Ace 2 with the Ace Racing Edition to give you an idea of how big an upgrade would the Ace 2 be. Yogesh Brar has revealed the expected specifications of the OnePlus Ace 2.
OnePlus Ace 2
Firstly, the Ace 2 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1. The device will have a 6.7″ AMOLED 120Hz display. Moreover, it will have either 6, 8, or 12 gigs of RAM and 128 or 256 gigs of internal storage. The Ace 2 will pack a 5000 mAh battery with 100W charging. It will be running the Android 13-based ColorOS. Furthermore, the rear camera setup will comprise a 50MP IMX890, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP sensor. In addition, the front selfie shooter will be a 16MP lens. For comparison, here is what the Ace Racing Edition offered.
OnePlus Ace Racing Edition
The device featured a 6.59″ FHD+ IPS LCD panel. The display had a 120Hz refresh rate. Moreover, the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition was powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max SoC. The device packed a 5000 mAh battery and came with support for 67W charging. Furthermore, the device came with up to LPDDR5 12GB RAM and UFS 3.1 256GB internal storage. The camera system had three sensors at the rear. A 64MP main sensor was accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP sensor. In addition, the front selfie snapper was a 16MP sensor.
Furthermore, the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition weighed 205g and measured 8.7mm thick. It had an X-axis linear motor for haptic feedback. Moreover, the device came with NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, and WiFi 6. In addition, it also featured a 3.5mm headphone jack but lacks the alert slider. Lastly, the device ran Android 12 out of the box.
