iQOO Neo 7 has just been announced for the Chinese market. The device will be launched in India soon. Furthermore, the device aims to cater to people wanting a high-performance device with a decent camera. The Vivo sub-brand is known to make such devices that entice gamers and performance-hungry people. iQOO Neo 7 is another one of those devices.

Specifications

iQOO Neo 7

Firstly, the device comes in different finishes. One of them is 8.5mm thick while the other is 8.89mm thick. Furthermore, there is a difference in weights as well. One weighs 197g and the other is 202g heavy. The device comes with a 6.78″ E5 AMOLED display. Moreover, it has a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and gaming. Talking about gaming, the device is powered by a high-performing chipset from MediaTek.

The iQOO Neo 7 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ SoC. It is a top-end chipset from MediaTek which will aid users to game a lot better and perform intensive tasks easily. Adding on, the device comes with a 5000 mAh battery with 120W blazing fast charging support. Talking about speed, the device has LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 internal storage.

iQOO Neo 7 has a triple rear camera setup. It is spearheaded by a 50MP sensor which is optically stabilized. Moreover, the rear camera setup has an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro lens as well. The front camera is a 16MP sensor housed inside the punch-hole in the center of the display. The device will be running Android 13 out of the box. The iQOO Neo 7 starts at CNY 2699 and goes up to CNY 3299 for the highest-end variant for the launch price.

Thoughts

On paper, the iQOO Neo 7 looks like an impressive phone. You won’t have any complaints about the performance of the device. Moreover, the smoothness of the device should not be an issue as well. This is possible due to the Dimensity 9000+ chip and the 120Hz refresh rate. In addition, the battery experience will be more than pleasant as well with 120W fast charging. The only con of the device is the cameras in my opinion. The device comes with only one usable sensor which is the OIS-enabled 50MP sensor. The other sensors are just placeholders. Moreover, there should’ve been a 32MP selfie shooter at least. However, overall, the device is decent for the price. Let us know your thoughts in the comments as well.
