Samsung Galaxy S23 Series is bound to launch in 2023. The expected launch timeline of the devices is Q1 of 2023. Although the launch is still far away, the designs have already leaked. The leaked designs confirm the new camera layout and the dimensions of the device. Moreover, the S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra are rumored to launch with Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset. Here are the leaked designs:
Samsung Galaxy S23
The Samsung Galaxy S23 will borrow the design aesthetic from the S22 Ultra. This means that the contour cut design of the camera module will be ditched. The camera lenses will be flush with the body of the device with no camera bump. Moreover, the S23 will be slightly bigger than the S22. It will measure roughly 146.3 x 70.8 x 7.6 mm. The display will be 6.1″ and will have symmetrical bezels. Moreover, the ports and button placement will be similar to the last generation.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus
The S23 Plus will also ditch the contour-cut design of the camera module. Furthermore, the dimensions of the phone will measure roughly 157.7 x 76.1 x 7.6mm. The display will be 6.6″ with symmetrical bezels. Lastly, the S23 Plus will be a bit larger than the S22 Plus.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
The Galaxy S23 Ultra will more or less look the same as the S22 Ultra. Moreover, the dimensions of the device will be roughly 163.4 x 78.1 x 8.8mm. For reference, the S22 Ultra measured 163.3 x 77.9 x 8.9mm. So the S23 Ultra will be slimmer and a bit wider than the previous generation. The S23 Ultra will have the slimmest bezels on any Samsung S phone till now. Adding on, Samsung will implement symmetrical bezels on the Ultra as well.
Thoughts
I wasn’t a fan when Samsung ditched the contour-cut design on the S22 Ultra. Moreover, the individual lenses catch a lot of dust between them. The S23 and S23 Plus look more like a Galaxy A32. The camera bump melting into the sides was iconic and people recognized that it was a flagship Samsung device at first glance. Let us know what you think of this design.
