Vivo X Fold+ has been made official in China. It is a follow-up to the X Fold launched earlier this year. However, the X Fold+ has not launched globally. I hope we get to see a global launch of the device as well. That would heat up the competition and users will be benefitted ultimately. The Vivo X Fold+ has all the ingredients to be a popular mainstream foldable in the global market.
Recently, a lot of foldable phones have been released. Xiaomi Mix Fold 2, Moto Razr 2022, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Z Fold 4 have been launched recently. The X Fold+ is another good option to consider but only if you are in China for now.
Design & Specifications
The back design has a similar look to the Vivo X Fold and X80 series. It has that signature camera module. Moreover, the other aspects of the design are also similar to the Vivo X Fold.
The Vivo X Fold+ is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1. The device has an 8.03″ 2k+ 120Hz main screen and an FHD+ 6.53″ 120Hz cover display. Furthermore, the main screen with a 2k+ resolution has LTPO 3.0 technology for highly efficient variable refresh. Fingerprint scanners are baked into both of the displays. Vivo is the only brand implementing in-display fingerprint scanners on the main as well as on the cover display.
Vivo claims to have strengthened the hinge massively. In addition, the device features 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. Adding on, there is a 4700 mAh dual-cell battery which is larger than the previous iteration. The X Fold+ is featuring a Zeiss-branded camera system. The device has a 50MP GN5 main sensor which is also optically stabilized. In addition, there is a 48MP ultra-wide sensor as well with a 12MP portrait camera with double optical zoom, and an 8MP super-telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. Moreover, there is a 16MP selfie shooter at the front as well.
Pricing
The device starts at CNY 9999 which translates into PKR 335,346 for the 12GB+256GB variant. Lastly, the model with 512GB of internal storage will cost you CNY 10999 which translates into PKR 368,884.
