Reason For Outage
It was inaccessible to users of multiple Internet Service Providers (ISPs) via the website. Users thought that the fear of YouTube being banned in Pakistan turned into reality. However, people could still use the YouTube app. The reason for this outage has not been found yet. Moreover, the website went down for PTCL & NayaTel users. Several YouTube outages were reported at 6:21 PM according to Twitter user, Cyber. People experiencing this issue have now reported that YouTube has been restored. However, Jazz, Telenor, and other network users except for PTCL and NayaTel remained safe. They haven’t faced this outage yet. Hopefully, the issue is solved for everyone and the reasons are found. There have not been any official updates on the situation from the relevant authorities.
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has not responded to the issue yet. Moreover, people are still seeking answers on Twitter and other social media platforms. Furthermore, note that this is not a global outage. This issue has only occurred in Pakistan. However, the good thing is that the service has started restoring.
