Samsung Galaxy A23 5G has been announced via Samsung‘s website. There was no launch event or press release regarding the device. Moreover, the availability and price of the device are not known yet. Only the specifications have been confirmed by Samsung. The device is a low-tier 5G device aimed at the budget segment.
Design
The design is the same as the A23 4G. Moreover, it has the same plastic build all around with glass at the front. Bezels on the front are minimal with a more prominent chin. Furthermore, there is a waterdrop style notch at the front housing the selfie shooter. The device weighs 197g and its dimensions measure 165.4 x 76.9 x 8.4mm
Specifications
The Galaxy A23 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 695 5G chipset. This chipset is an upgraded Snapdragon 690. The performance is a bit better on the 695 with 15% faster CPU and 10% faster GPU. Moreover, it features a 6.6″ FHD+ PLS LCD panel. Moreover, the information about the refresh rate has not been confirmed yet. In addition, the device will come in 4/6/8GB RAM and 64/128GB internal storage configurations.
The device packs a 5000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. However, going by past experiences, you’ll only get a 15W charger out of the box or maybe no charger in the box is also a possibility. A23 5G will run Android 12-based One UI 4.1 out of the box and it also has Samsung’s Knox security embedded.
For the cameras, the device has a quadruple-rear camera setup. The main sensor is a 50MP optically stabilized lens. Furthermore, other sensors include a 5MP ultra-wide, 2MP depth and a 2MP macro lens. In addition, the resolution of the selfie camera is 8MP.
