Realme 9 4G will be launching in Pakistan soon. The official launch date is set for 18th July. Moreover, the event will start at 6 pm PST. The device has already been launched in India. It is the base model of the Realme 9 series. Moreover, the Realme 9 4G variant is their low-tier midrange device. The BBK-owned brand will look to penetrate the budget market specifically with this device. Specifications and design of Realme 9 4G are similar to Realme 9i launched recently here in Pakistan as well.
Expected Specifications
The Realme 9 4G sports a 6.4″ Super AMOLED panel. Moreover, it has a refresh rate of 90Hz for smooth scrolling. The touch sampling rate is 360Hz. In addition, the device measures 7.9mm thick and weighs 178g. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 680 which is a 6nm-based processor. This is the same chipset used in the Realme 9i, Redmi Note 11, and the Vivo Y55. It will be paired with 6 or 8 gigs of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. Furthermore, the device packs a 5000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
Realme 9 4G will be running Android 12-based Realme UI 2.0. Moving on to the camera system, it is going to have a 108MP main sensor. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro sensor. The front selfie snapper is a 16MP lens. Lastly, the Realme 9 4G will also feature an in-display fingerprint scanner with a heart rate monitoring feature as well. In addition, it also features a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Thoughts
The success of the device depends upon the pricing. If the price is kept competitive by Realme, it can be a success. Moreover, in our opinion, a great price would be anything around PKR 30k. However, in these uncertain economic times, be prepared for the worst. The price could be as high as the Y55 and in that case, this device would not be worth that amount of money.
