Xiaomi 12S Series has debuted in China. Three devices have been launched – Xiaomi 12S, Xiaomi 12S Pro, and Xiaomi 12S Ultra. There was no Ultra device with the 12-series when it was launched earlier. However, this time Xiaomi has unleashed its Ultra flagship. Unfortunately, the devices are available in China only for now. Hopefully, the global launch will follow soon.
Xiaomi 12S
The standard model of the S variants of the 12-series features the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1. Moreover, the display is a 6.28″ FHD+ 120Hz OLED panel. In addition, it is a 12-bit display with 1100 nits of peak brightness and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The device weighs 182g and measures 8.66mm thick. Furthermore, the device packs a 4500 mAh battery with 67W charging. It also supports 50W wireless charging.
The triple rear camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor. It is accompanied by 13MP ultra-wide and 5MP macro sensors. Moreover, the main sensor is also OIS-enabled. The front camera is a 32MP lens. Lastly, the device starts at CNY 3999.
Xiaomi 12S Pro
The Pro model comes with a larger 6.78″ 2K E5 AMOLED 120Hz display. Moreover, it is a 10-bit display protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. The device weighs 204g and measures 8.16mm thick. Furthermore, it is also powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1. The device packs a 4600 mAh battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging.
The triple rear camera setup at the back comprises a 50MP main lens which is also OIS-enabled. Moreover, there is a 50MP ultra-wide and 50MP telephoto lens as well. The front camera is the same 32MP sensor as the standard 12S. Lastly, the device starts at CNY 4699.
Xiaomi 12S Ultra
The Ultra model is the best Xiaomi phone on paper yet. Also, it is the first to feature the largest camera sensor on any smartphone. It has a 1″ Sony IMX989 sensor which has a resolution of 50.3MP. It also has a 48MP ultra-wide and 48MP telephoto with 120X periscope zoom. Added features include Leica Authentic Look, Leica Vibrant look photographic styles, Leica Vivid, Natural, BW Natural, and BW High Contrast filters.
Moreover, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1. The display is a 6.73″ 2K E5 AMOLED 2.0 display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a peak brightness of 1500 nits. The device packs a 4860 mAh battery with 67W wired and 50W wireless charging. Moreover, it weighs 225g and measures 9.06mm thick. Lastly, the device starts at CNY 5999.
