Realme GT2 Master Explorer Edition has been announced to launch on 7th July. In November 2021, Steve Hemmerstoffer aka OnLeaks leaked an interesting Realme device. As he leaked everything there is to know about GT 2 Pro, which was the expected name then. However, it didn’t launch with the design that was leaked. There is a chance that he got the naming wrong. Moreover, this GT2 Master Explorer Edition may be that device.
Design
Steve Hemmerstoffer in collaboration with 91mobiles leaked the official press renders. The backplate takes you down memory lane. Its resemblance to the beloved Nexus 6P by Google is uncanny. The device has a similar camera visor-like module at the back and is lifted from the surface like the Find X5 Pro’s camera bump. The material on the back is said to be ceramic. A matte metal frame wraps around the body of the phone.
The accurate design from the front is not yet known. But, most probably the phone will have a flat panel with a punch-hole for the selfie shooter. Moreover, there isn’t a side-mounted fingerprint scanner to be seen in the renders leaked. So, there may be an in-display fingerprint scanner. Overall, the design and the expected build quality are up there with the competition.
Expected Specifications And Price
The device is set to feature a large 6.8-inch WQHD+ flat OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will have the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor. The triple camera setup could include a 50MP primary wide-angle, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle, and an 8MP telephoto rear camera. According to the information from 91mobiles, the engraving in the module suggests the phone will also have a GR Lens. GR Lens offers the best shooting performance in the smallest camera body. It also offers excellent resistance against backlighting.
Alleged GT Master Explorer will have up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and UFS3.1 256GB storage. The smartphone is also said to support 125W of fast wired charging. All this could be available at just $799.That is an insane price for all that Realme is offering with this device. The Realme GT2 Master Explorer Edition can be a serious option if this design and specifications become a reality.
