Google Pixel 6a has been rumored for some time now. The retail box images of the Pixel 6a have also been leaked. These images confirm the design of the Google midrange device.
Furthermore, latest report from reliable tipster, Mukul Sharma, suggest that the Google Pixel 6a is allegedly undergoing private testing in India. This corroborates with the previous information by Yogesh Brar. He suggested that the Google Pixel 6a will indeed launch in India unlike the flagship Pixel 6 series.
Specifications (Rumored)
After setting the tone with the successful Pixel 6 series, Google looks to build on that with the launch of Pixel 6a. According to the previous report by 91mobiles, the device retains the camera visor at the back. There will be dual rear cameras and a single LED flash housed in the camera module. We can expect the same primary camera from the Pixel 5 on the 6a. It will also have a dual-tone finish with a glass back and metal frame similar to its elder siblings.
The dimensions of the phone will be roughly 152.2 x 71.8 x 8.7mm. There will be a 6.2″ flat OLED display on the front which may have thinner bezels than the current Pixel 6. It will also feature an in-display fingerprint scanner and a punch-hole selfie shooter in the center. In addition, there will be a Type-C port along with two grills, one for the speaker and one for the microphone. There will be antenna bands on all four sides, and the SIM card housing will be on the left side of the device with no headphone jack. Moreover, Google is expected to use the same Tensor chip in the 6a. This is great news. As it will bring the same technical prowess as the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro.
Launch Date
Jon Prosser revealed the exact launch date of the device. The Google Pixel 6a will be launching on July 28th. However, it may be announced at the Google I/O.
