Nubia Red Magic 7 Pro Goes On international markets

Nubia Red Magic 7 Pro was launched in February in China. The regular Red Magic 7 went on sale around the world a pair of weeks later, but we’ve had to attend a small amount longer for the Pro model. But since late April, both phones are available to shop for globally – it is the first time we have seen two Red Magic phones from the identical generation within the West.

When Nubia says ‘global launch’, the company means it. Both phones are available in dozens of states around the world, including much of Europe, North America, and therefore the Mideast. Key geographical areas in Asia and Latin America also are covered.

As usual, no UK or US carriers are offering the phones on contract. However, both devices are unlocked by default, so you must be ready to put any SIM card in.

Nubia Red Magic 7 Pro Specs

The Red Magic 7 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and runs Android 12-based RedMagic OS 5.0 out of the box. It also comes with a frenzied gaming chip called Red Core 1 to handle audio, RGB lighting, and haptic feedback, allowing the Qualcomm silicon to specialise in more important tasks.

It is built around a 6.8″ FullHD+ AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate and 960Hz touch rate. The panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and features a fingerprint reader underneath for biometric identification.

It also has an under-display 16MP selfie camera, offering an unobstructed visual experience insufferable with displays having notches and punch holes. The 64MP primary camera is within the centre of the rear panel, joined by 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro units. 5,000 mAh battery charged through a USB-C port. However, it’s worth mentioning that, unlike the Chinese version that supports 135W charging, the worldwide model only goes up to 65W.
