Samsung announced the Galaxy S22 series in February. However, only the Galaxy S22 Ultra made its way to Pakistan. Samsung Pakistan has also started manufacturing the device locally. Consequently, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is priced reasonably close to the global pricing. Kudos to Samsung for dishing out made in Pakistan smartphones at a great pace. However, we didn’t see the standard Samsung Galaxy S22 and the S22+ in Pakistan.
Galaxy S22 Is Finally Here!
Samsung should’ve launched this device in Pakistan earlier. However, taxation issues may have caused a delay. Moreover, another reason can be their production plant wasn’t capable enough of producing this many devices at the same time. Therefore, they didn’t want to launch these devices at higher prices. Better late than never though.
Samsung has announced the pre-order for the highly anticipated Galaxy S22. The price is kept close to the global price; Rs 179,999. You can also avail free Galaxy Buds 2 and 50% off for screen replacement. Here is what the device offers:
Galaxy S22
The standard S22 comes with a 6.1″ FHD+ dynamic AMOLED screen. The display supports LTPO technology and has a refresh rate of 120Hz. Moreover, the display has a 1300nit peak brightness. The biggest improvement is the thin and symmetrical bezels on the display. Symmetrical narrow bezels on a flat display panel look very modern and futuristic. In addition, the display and back-plate are flat this time with no curves. The material is glass similar to the other two devices. Gorilla Glass Victus is used in the device. S22 is powered by Exynos 2200/Snapdragon 8Gen1 depending on the region. It comes with an Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner like all models. Moreover, it packs a 3700 mAh battery with 25W wired and 15W wireless charging.
Furthermore, it brings improvements in the camera department. The camera system is the same in the vanilla S22 and S22+. The front selfie camera is a 10MP lens. There is a triple-camera setup that includes a 50MP wide with OIS support. It is accompanied by a 12MP ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree field of view and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The telephoto lens also supports OIS. Lastly, it will be available in 4 colors; Phantom Black, Phantom White, Green, and Pink Gold. S22 will be available in two configurations; 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB.
