This week has been crazy for Google Pixel Watch. First, we saw the renders of the unannounced Pixel Watch. And then, Google filed a trademark application for the “Pixel Watch.” Now, the allegedly Google Pixel Watch prototype has been leaked in its full glory giving us a real-life look at the wearable.
The leak comes from Android Central, which posted a couple of pictures of the watch that were tipped anonymously. The source claims that they found the watch in a restaurant in some parts of the US. This throws me 10 years back when iPhone 4 was leaked in a similar style. Google surely knows how to create the hype for their upcoming products.
Anyways, moving to our protagonist, it looks pretty similar to the renders seen earlier this week. This prototype is in black color, of course, we expect to see more color options too. The watch is circular, with a button next to the crown. According to the leaker, the rear of the device “looks metallic but feels like it’s coated with glass.” Moreover, the watch was found together with a blue watchband, that is connectable directly to the watch.
The watch came with no operating system installed, and just showed Google’s logo. Furthermore, the source claims that there was also a box with the watch, that said “internal testing and development only” and “markings and packaging are not final.” It clearly means that there might be changes to the final product compared to this prototype.
Pixel Watch is expected to arrive soon
Talking about the release of the Pixel Watch, it seems like Google will not delay the launch and will break the cover soon. We are expecting to hear more about the Pixel Watch at the annual I/O 2022 developers conference, beginning on May 11.
