The Vivo X80 series is set to debut on April 25th in China. Reportedly, there will be three devices in the lineup. Vivo X80 will be the standard variant while the other two models will be X80 Pro and the ultra-phone X80 Pro Plus. The specifications of the X80 have been leaked entirely ahead of launch via a tweet by tipster Ishan Agarwal.
The design is similar to the Vivo X Note announced previously. There is a huge camera module covering the top of the phone’s back. A circular frame houses three camera sensors and has the Zeiss optics branding. Moreover, the frame will be metal. While the front of the device will be curved and will house a punch-hole cut out for the selfie shooter. Lastly, the material used at the back may differ from variant to variant. There might be a leather finish alongside the usual glass variant.
Vivo X80 will feature a 6.78″ 1080p AMOLED display. Moreover, it will have a 120Hz refresh rate with a 300Hz touch sampling rate. The screen will be surrounded by minimal bezels and will also have an optical in-display fingerprint reader. In addition, the device measures 165×75.2×8.3mm and weighs 205 grams. The X80 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000. It will be available in 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB configurations. LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage will be used in the device for fast speeds.
Vivo X80 will pack a 4500 mAh battery which will charge at 80W normally and will lack wireless charging. Furthermore, Vivo will feature a flagship-grade camera system in the X80. Rear-camera setup will consist of three sensors. a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP portrait telephoto camera. There won’t be a periscope lens in the standard X80. Moreover, the front selfie shooter will be a 32MP sensor. Lastly, the device will arrive with Android 12-based Origin OS Ocean in China.
