Oppo A57 5G mobile smartphone was launched on April 2022, seemingly a Chinese exclusive for the time being. The Oppo A57 5G is pre-orderable in China from today, starting at CNY 1,500 (~US$236) with 8 GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with ColorOS 12.1 and that’s based on Android 12, but it is still unclear whether Oppo plans to sell the A57 5G globally or not.
Oppo A57 5G mobile comes with a 90 Hz refresh rate 6.56-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 720×1612 pixels (HD+) at a pixel density of 269 pixels per inch (PPI). Oppo A57 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor. The base configuration now comes with 6 GB and a higher option of 8 GB ram. The A57 5G has 128 GB of expandable storage. However, Oppo has elected to include UFS 2.1 storage with the 8 GB of RAM configuration and the faster UFS 2.2 with the 6 GB model. The Oppo A57 5G is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) mobile that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. Connectivity options on the Oppo A57 5G include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.20, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, proximity sensor, and side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The Oppo A57 5G packs a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 10 W charging. As for the cameras, the Oppo A57 5G on the rear packs a dual-camera setup housing a 13-megapixel (f/2.2) primary camera, and a 2-megapixel (f/2.4) camera. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It has a single front camera setup for selfies, housing an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture.
