OPPO F21 Pro just launched in Pakistan for PKR 52,999. The Chinese brand has been teasing the device for a while. Moreover, they have spent a lot on marketing and advertising the F21 Pro. Superstar actor, Fawad Khan was hired for advertising the F21 Pro. But did they spend as much on making a competitive device? Let’s take a look at the specifications and see for ourselves.
Specifications
The OPPO F21 Pro comes with a plastic back with a leather finish. This doesn’t sound as good, right? Kudos to OPPO for making it sound luxurious as they market this finish as an industry-first fiberglass leather back. However, in reality, it’s just a plastic back with a leather finish on top. Furthermore, the device has flat edges and the display is a 90Hz AMOLED panel. The display is a 6.43″ panel with a punch-hole towards the top left.
In addition, the device is powered by Snapdragon 680 4G chipset. You can find this chipset in low-tier midrange devices like the Redmi Note 11 and Realme 9i. OPPO is marketing the device as a camera-centric device. However, you don’t get much versatility. F21 Pro has a 64MP main camera with a 2MP mono and 2MP microscope lens. You don’t get an ultrawide lens at PKR 53k. Moreover, the front camera is a 32MP sensor. The rear camera can record up to 1080p at 30fps.
Furthermore, the device packs a 4500 mAh battery with 33W fast charging. F21 Pro will run ColorOS 12.1 out of the box. Lastly, the device has an in-display fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack. However, the F21 Pro lacks NFC.
Is It Good Value?
Let us know if you would pick this up instead of the Redmi Note 11 series or the Realme 9i. These devices offer similar specifications at a lower price point. OPPO should have created a better value product instead of just investing in marketing and advertising.
