Steve Hemmerstoffer aka Onleaks leaked the OnePlus Nord N20 back in November 2021. A flat-edge design reminiscent of the latest iPhones was revealed. Moreover, he also revealed the specifications of the device. Now, we have received official word from OnePlus COO Kinder Liu about the device. In an interview with PCMag, he revealed details about the Nord lineup.
Success Of Nord Series
OnePlus COO revealed that the Nord series has been hugely successful. OnePlus sold 2.5m Nord phones in the US in 2021. The BBK brand looks to build on that success with the Nord N20. OnePlus shared some specifications and an official render of the device in the interview. The design is the same as leaked before.
Design
As leaked earlier, the Nord N20 will come with a flat-edge design. The bezels on the front are very minimal. Furthermore, the camera sensor is placed similarly to the S22 Ultra. There is no camera bump. Rather the lenses stick out of the backplate. A triple-rear-setup can be seen in the render.
Specifications
OnePlus has confirmed that the Nord N20 will feature a 60Hz AMOLED screen. The size of the display will be 6.43″ diagonal. Moreover, they revealed that they had to choose between a 90Hz LCD and 60Hz AMOLED. They decided on the AMOLED panel. Which is the right decision in my opinion. In addition, They also confirmed that the device will come with an in-display fingerprint sensor and SuperVOOC charging technology. Further details of the device have not been confirmed.
However, Onleaks already leaked the specifications of the device. According to previous leaks, the OnePlus Nord N20 will feature the Snapdragon 695 chipset. Moreover, the device will have a 48MP main sensor at the back with two 2MP sensors as well. The front selfie shooter will be a 16MP sensor. The dimensions of the phone will be approximately 159.8 x 73.1 x 7.7mm. Lastly, the device will also feature a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Availability
OnePlus Nord N20 will be available in North America later this month. However, availability in other regions and pricing are not yet confirmed.
