Google has been on the front pages of the tech world after its Pixel 6 series. Their next midrange phone, Google Pixel 6a has already been leaked. Jon Prosser has now revealed the exact launch date of Pixel 6a. The Google Pixel 6a will be launching on July 28th.
Yogesh Brar, a reliable leaker, has confirmed that the Pixel 6a will launch in India. That is great news for Indian fans. Google received severe backlash after they didn’t launch the Pixel 6 series in India. The design and possible specifications of the Google Pixel 6a have also been exposed. However, the availability was not confirmed until now.
Expected Specifications
After setting the tone with the successful Pixel 6 series, Google looks to build on that with the launch of Pixel 6a. According to the previous report by 91mobiles, Pixel 6a retains the camera visor at the back. There are dual rear cameras and a single LED flash housed in the camera module. We can expect the same primary camera from the Pixel 5 on the 6a. It also has a dual-tone finish with a glass back and metal frame similar to its elder siblings.
The dimensions of the phone are roughly 152.2 x 71.8 x 8.7mm. There is a 6.2″ flat OLED display on the front which shows thinner bezels than the vanilla 6 in the renders shown by 91mobiles. It also has an in-display fingerprint scanner and a punch-hole selfie shooter in the center. In addition, there is a Type-C port along with two grills, one for the speaker and one for the microphone. There are antenna bands on all four sides, and the SIM card housing is on the left side of the device with no headphone jack. Moreover, Google is expected to use the same Tensor chip in the 6a. This is great news. As it will bring the same technical prowess as the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro.
Pricing
Considering previous Pixel A-series prices, if 6a is priced similarly, it is going to move the needle, unlike any other phone. It is bound to be a hot-seller considering the insane price-to-performance ratio it is offering.
