OPPO Find X5 series has been announced officially. The BBK giant has unveiled its latest flagship series at MWC 2022 event held in Barcelona. Two devices have been announced at the event – OPPO Find X5 and OPPO Find X5 Pro. Moreover, these are the first OPPO devices with the Hasselblad collaboration and MariSilicon X, the in-house imaging NPU. Both devices are an incremental update overall from the last generation.

Design and Specifications

Both devices feature a similar design to their predecessor. The back-plate lifts to form the camera module, creating a seamless back-plate. Moreover, the Hasselblad branding is present on the back. The camera module itself is in an irregular shape. The material used on the back of the Pro variant is ceramic while the smaller sibling has a glass back.OPPO Find X5 Series

OPPO Find X5

OPPO Find X5 comes with a 6.5″ AMOLED 120Hz display. It also has multi-brightness color calibration. Moreover, the device is powered by Snapdragon 888 SoC. It packs a 4800 mAh battery with 80W wired and 30W wireless charging support. The device is also IP54 protected. Moreover, there is Gorilla Glass Victus used at the front as well as the back. It will come in only one configuration; 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The device has a linear X-axis vibration motor and dual stereo speakers. It will also have an in-display fingerprint sensor, NFC, and an IR blaster too. Lastly, both devices will be running ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12.

OPPO Find X5 Pro

OPPO Find X5 Pro comes with a 6.7″ AMOLED 120Hz LTPO display. The display offers a Quad HD+ resolution of 3216 x 1440 pixels and a refresh rate of 1-120Hz, all protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. The device is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8Gen1 from Qualcomm. Moreover, the display is also HDR 10+ certified and has 10-bit color. The device will pack a 5000 mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging support. The back-plate is made of ceramic rather than the glass used in the non-pro variant. The Find X5 Pro will be available in a 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration. The device has a linear X-axis vibration motor and dual stereo speakers. It will also have an in-display fingerprint sensor, NFC, and an IR blaster too. Lastly, both devices will also feature a multi-tier cooling system.

Camera Specifications

Both devices have a similar camera setup. Hasselblad color science is used in both devices. Therefore, expect expert-level features when using the newly designed ‘Pro’ mode along with a filmic-looking capture mode called ‘Hasselblad XPAN’. Marisilicon X, the in-house neural processing unit (NPU), has also been integrated into these devices. Its main feature is to enhance low-light 4K videos and night photography.

The triple-camera setup consists of a main 50MP IMX766 sensor. Moreover, it is accompanied by a 50MP IMX766 ultra-wide freeform lens. The ultra-wide sensor has a 110-degree field of view. Lastly, there is a 13MP telephoto lens that offers 5X hybrid and 20X digital zoom.
