Xiaomi’s gaming smartphone range, the Xiaomi Black Shark. Last year, the Black Shark 4 was a banger of a phone. It came at a good price point providing a bang for the buck. The phone gave good competition to ASUS ROG. Now, Xiaomi Black Shark 5 models have appeared on TENNA having their details and specifications leaked.
Xiaomi Black Shark 5
Xiaomi usually launches the gaming smartphone series in March. Ahead of the launch, both models have received approval from the TENAA authority of China. The TENAA listings have revealed the entire specs of both smartphones. Unfortunately, the images of the smartphones haven’t yet been shown on the Chinese certification site.
The series is said to have two models. The Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro, and the Vanilla Black Shark 5
Black Shark 5
The model number PAR-A0 or the Black Shark 5 will start off in the Chinese market. The dimensions of the phone according to TENNA will be 163.83 x 76.25 x 10.37mm and will weigh 223 grams. Coming to the specifications, the phone will sport a 6.67-inch AMOLED 120Hz display that offers a Full HD+ resolution as well as HDR. The device will most likely get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870. It is not necessarily bad but not the greatest either. Furthermore, the device has 8 GB / 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB / 256 GB of storage options. To power all of this the phone will get a 4,650mAh rated battery, which carries support for 120W fast charging.
Coming to the cameras. We all know that camera is the least focused thing on a gaming smartphone. This model will get a 13MP front camera and on its rear side, it gets a 64MP triple camera unit.
Black Shark 5 Pro
It is thought that the KTUS-A0 model number belongs to the most powerful Black Shark 5 Pro. The dimensions of the phone are 163.86 x 76.53 x 9.8mm and weigh 226 grams. It also will feature a 6.67″ AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display. It is powered by a 3.0GGhz, which could be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The Black Shark 5 Pro will come with 8 GB / 12 GB / 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB / 512 GB of storage options. To power all of this, the device will be equipped with a 4,650mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
There is however no confirmation of the price or release date.
