How To Experience Android Apps On Windows 11

Before installing apps on your PC, you need to have an Amazon app and Windows Subsystem for Android.

Windows Subsystem For Android

It is a Windows platform that allows you to run Android apps on your OS. In addition, it has Android OS 11, Linux kernel, and pre-installed Amazon App Store. This allows you to run Android apps available in the store. For installing the Windows Subsystem for Android, you only need to search for the Amazon App Store on your Microsoft Store.

Amazon App Store

Once you complete the installation of the Windows Subsystem for Android, Amazon App Store is installed by default. You just need to have a US-based Amazon account to access all the apps available.

Installation Of Android Apps on Windows 11

Here is a step-by-step guide for installing Android apps on Windows 11:

  1. Open Start.
  2. Search Amazon App Store and click the top result to open the app.
  3. Sign in to your Amazon account.
  4. You need a US-based account to sign in.
  5. Select the app and click Get.
  6. Click Download.

Once you complete these steps, you can open your downloaded app. If you can’t find the app, search in “All Apps”. When you launch an app, it will be like any other Microsoft app. You will be able to perform all actions you do on a normal Microsoft app. You will be able to minimize, maximize and resize windows. However, you might face some bugs as it is still not the final version of this feature.
