OnePlus Nord CE 2 will launch on the 17th of February. The Chinese brand has started teasing the device. Moreover, they have confirmed the name of the device. Tipster, Yogesh Brar, has leaked the specifications of the Nord CE 2. It is a direct sequel to last year’s Nord CE. Pricing has also been leaked via Abhishek Yadav.
The previous core edition phone had very mixed reviews. The major complaints were the buggy software, below-par cameras, average performance, and lack of an alert slider. It didn’t feel like a OnePlus phone at all. OnePlus Nord CE failed to impress most of the consumers. Here is what we know about the OnePlus Nord CE 2:
OnePlus Nord 2 CE has the same 90Hz OLED screen with a punch-hole for selfie camera in the top-left corner. However, the back-plate is where the difference from its predecessor is prominent. On the back, it looks very similar to an OPPO Reno 7. There is a triple-camera setup on the back which is accompanied by a flash. There will be two color options available; Blue and Black. Design is not the only similarity between the Reno 7 and Nord CE 2. Specifications are also similar to the Reno 7. This gives us an idea of the strong integration between OnePlus and OPPO.
The OnePlus Nord 2 CE is said to be using a MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G chipset. It will arrive with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage which will be expandable with a MicroSD card. Nord 2 CE is said to have a dedicated memory card slot with dual sim support. In addition, the display is a 90Hz OLED screen that sizes up to 6.4″. It is reported to have a 64MP primary OmniVision sensor which is the same as the last generation. Moreover, it will also come with an 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro lens. The front camera will be a 16MP sensor on the top-left corner of the display. Furthermore, the Nord 2 CE will pack a 4500 mAh battery with 65W fast wired charging support.
Sadly, the alert slider has not made a return even after a lot of criticism. On the left, there are the volume rockers. While on the right side, there is the power button. The phone will also come with dual stereo speakers. It retains the 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port at the bottom. Nord 2 CE will have an in-display fingerprint sensor. Moreover, it is likely to run Oxygen OS 11.3 based on Android 11. It will come in 6/8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage configurations.
Leaks suggest that the 6GB+128GB model will cost you 23,999 INR. Moreover, the 8GB+128GB variant will be priced at 24,999 INR.
