Samsung Galaxy S22 series has been officially launched by Samsung. The Korean giants revealed their latest top-end devices today. Three devices make up the S-lineup this year. Galaxy S22 is the base model. The middle sibling is the Galaxy S22+. Lastly, the monster elder sibling is the S22 Ultra. Samsung has made great improvements in all three devices. Although everything was leaked before launch, there was still excitement around the launch event.

Galaxy S22

The standard S22 comes with a 6.1″ FHD+ dynamic AMOLED screen. The display supports LTPO technology and has a refresh rate of 120Hz. Moreover, the display has a 1300nit peak brightness. The biggest improvement is the thin and symmetrical bezels on the display. Symmetrical narrow bezels on a flat display panel look very modern and futuristic. In addition, the display and back-plate are flat this time with no curves. The material is glass similar to the other two devices. Gorilla Glass Victus is used in all models. S22 is powered by Exynos 2200/Snapdragon 8Gen1 depending on the region. It comes with an Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner like all models. Moreover, it packs a 3700 mAh battery with 25W wired and 15W wireless charging.Samsung S22

Furthermore, it brings improvements in the camera department. The camera system is the same in the vanilla S22 and S22+. The front selfie camera is a 10MP lens. There is a triple-camera setup that includes a 50MP wide with OIS support. It is accompanied by a 12MP ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree field of view and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The telephoto lens also supports OIS. Lastly, it will be available in 4 colors; Phantom Black, Phantom White, Green, and Pink Gold. S22 and S22+ will be available in two configurations; 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB.

Galaxy S22+

The S22+ is a step up in size from the vanilla S22. It houses a 6.6″ FHD+ dynamic AMOLED display. It has the same LTPO technology and a 120Hz refresh rate. Moreover, it has a 1750nit peak brightness. The overall design is the same as the standard S22. It has the same flat edges and minimal bezels. It is also powered by the Exynos 2200/Snapdragon 8Gen1.

The camera system is the same as the vanilla S22. However, there is a difference in battery capacity. It packs a 4500 mAh battery with 45W wired and 15W wireless charging support. It will be available in the same color options as the S22. All three models have integrated 5G modems. S22+ and Ultra have WiFi 6E, while the S22 has WiFi 6 support. Moreover, all three phones are IP68 certified.Galaxy S22 and S22Plus

Galaxy S22 Ultra

The Ultra model is the one where Samsung has entirely changed the landscape of the S-series. They have merged the Note experience with the S-series. This is the first S-series phone with an integrated S-Pen. S21 Ultra had stylus support. However, it couldn’t store it inside like the Note. Samsung has listened to its fans. Therefore, they have decided to keep the Note alive by providing the same experience with the S22 Ultra. It even has the same boxy design reminiscent of the Note series.

The Ultra has a 40MP front selfie shooter. Moreover, it has a quad-camera setup. A 108MP wide camera with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide with 120-degree FOV, and two 10MP telephoto lenses. Both telephoto lenses support OIS and have a 3x optical zoom a 10x optical zoom respectively. Furthermore, the Ultra is running Android 12 based One UI 4, the same as the S22 and S22+. All three models are subject to 4 years of OS upgrades.S22 Ultra

Furthermore, the camera lenses are flush with the back of the device. Which gives the Ultra a different look from its siblings. The back and the front are curved. Moreover, it has a 6.8″ dynamic AMOLED display with LTPO and a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a 1750nit peak brightness. The resolution of the display is WQHD+ It houses an S-Pen inside that has a latency of only 2.8ms. S22 Ultra is powered by the same Exynos 2200/Snapdragon 8Gen1 as its brothers. The S22 Ultra packs a 5000 mAh battery with 45W wired and 15W wireless charging support. It will be available in 4 configurations; 8GB+128GB, 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB and 12GB+1TB. The color options for the Ultra are Phantom Black, Phantom White, Green, and Burgundy.Galaxy S22 Ultra
