The leaks and rumours for the Redmi K50 series started a while ago, but now the device has launched. The series consists of 3 devices and a gaming edition. For now, the Redmi K50 GE (Gaming Edition) has been revealed. Here is everything we know about the gaming smartphone.

Redmi K50
News from sources tells us that the Redmi K50 will have 3 models, the Redmi K50, the Redmi K50 Pro and finally the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition. All three phones will sport an AMOLED Display. LCD has disappeared from the Redmi K50 Series. Redmi K50 series’ arrival has been teased by the company, ahead of the launch of the smartphones While details of the series have been leaked by tipsters. The company is yet to reveal much about smartphones.
Redmi K50 GE
The K50 GE or the Gaming Edition will be the absolute monster of the series. It will have the top of line specifications. The smartphone uses a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 480Hz touch sampling rate. The display also features a Displaymate A+ rating and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection on top. The body measures; 162 × 76.8 × 8.45mm, and weighs about 210g.
Other than that the device features the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Chipset processor, paired with up to 12GB ram.
There is a 4700mAh battery inside the phone that will go from 0% to 100% in 17 mins thanks to the huge 120w Fast Charging speed. This phone will do bits to keep it cool as it features a dual VC cooling system. This means that it will have dual cooling making the device more efficient and cool to the touch. A new feature called the ultra-wideband CyberEngine haptic engine will make its debut in the device, it is said to give competition to Apple’s Haptic Engine. Moreover, the smartphone has retained the shoulder triggers.
Design
From the promotional posters, the design of the K50 GE has been revealed. We can see the triple camera setup. There’s also a lightning bolt-shaped flash module next to the cameras, with the words “Freezing” and “Speediest” written. The device looks sleek and not too bold.
Pricing
Redmi K50 Gaming Edition starts at CNY 3,299 (PKR 92K/$520).
