Gionee just launched their latest phone, the Gionee G13 Pro. It has the same design language as the iPhone 13. The same flat edge design, the same camera module design, and even a similar notch at the front. It even has a similar name. The only thing different is the color options. But, is it any good?
Specifications
Gionee G13 Pro has a 6.26″ HD+ LCD panel. The smartphone is powered by a Unisoc T310 chipset. This is a 12nm processor and has 4G capabilities. It comes in two configurations; 4GB/32GB and 4GB/128GB. For the cameras, it has a 13MP main at the back and a 2MP macro camera. Moreover, it has a 5MP selfie shooter at the front. The Gionee G13 Pro runs Harmony OS out of the box. In addition, it supports Huawei’s HMS ecosystem. It has a 3,500mAh battery and USB Type-C connectivity. The smartphone weighs 195 grams and measures 158mm x76mm x9.2mm.
Apart from it being the exact copy of an iPhone 13, the design still looks premium. According to the renders, the bezels at the front are very minimal and the overall design looks very flashy and premium. However, I doubt the bezels will look that narrow in real-life images. This is the first non-Huawei device that is running the Harmony OS. The device has gained popularity because of the copied design. It is as similar as it gets to the iPhone 13. Put a case on it and nobody will figure at first sight. The Gionee G13 Pro has a 3.5mm headphone hack, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth support. Lastly, it also has specific Elderly and Smart modes baked into the software.
Pricing
The base variant of the 4GB RAM and 32GB storage will cost you CNY 529. The 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage variant will cost CNY 699. Lastly, the device comes in 4 color options: Blue, Purple, Grey, and a Silver finish.
