OnePlus recently came out with the OnePlus 10 Series. The series has a fresh design, good specifications, but things were missing. There was no ultra or R or a vanilla phone. Like there was nothing out of the ordinary. Nevertheless, the OnePlus is reportedly working on an ultra phone called the OnePlus 10 Ultra. The OnePlus 10 Ultra might arrive later this year with huge specifications.
OnePlus 10 Ultra
It will be the first time that OnePlus uses the Ultra tag in a smartphone. The Ultra will sure be something different.
Now, according to leaked reports by Yogesh Brar, the OnePlus 10 Ultra is already in its early engineering testing phase. It will be prepared to launch sooner than you think. Other than that, the device is said to come with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SOC. It’s almost certain to get the latest chip as OnePlus wouldn’t want to wait that long to launch the new phone with the new chip. Another thing added by the leaker is that the Ultra device may use a MariSilicon X NPU shared from Oppo.
MariSilicon X NPU
It is a custom NPU by Oppo, this Neural Processing Unit was announced by the company during its innovation conference in 2021. It’s making its debut with the Oppo Find X5 and X5 Pro. As Oppo and Oneplus have merged, it is 100% possible that we get to see that NPU in the 10 Ultra.
Launch Date
The Ultra is expected to debut in March 2022, but some sources say that it can be delayed to October as OnePlus does the “T” phones in that month. Along with that, the OnePlus 10R with the Dimensity 9000 is also expected to launch somewhere in between.
