Samsung Galaxy A53 is supposed to launch in Q1 of 2022. The design of Galaxy A53 was leaked by Steve Hemmerstoffer. It revealed a similar design to its predecessor. However, its actual specifications were not revealed at that time. Tipster, Anthony, has now exposed the specifications of the device as well. Moreover, the A-series device was spotted on China’s 3C certification site as well.
Design
Galaxy A53 will have almost the same design as the A52. The dimensions of the phone are roughly 159.6 x 74.7 x 8.14mm (9.73mm including rear camera bump). This is a bit slimmer than the A52’s thickness. The camera bump extends from the back-plate itself which is made of plastic. Furthermore, the display will be a 6.5″ flat OLED panel with rounded corners. The frame is still made of plastic same as last year’s model. The volume rockers and the power button will be on the left side. While the USB-C port and speakers will be at the bottom. Moreover, there will be no headphone jack.
Expected Specifications
Anthony reports via a tweet that the A53 will be using an Exynos 1200 SoC. If it is true, then it will surely be a welcome addition. The Exynos 1200 was also seen in a variant of Vivo’s X60 series. It provided great performance similar to top-end chipsets. Furthermore, he states that the display will be a 120Hz refresh rate panel. The Galaxy A53 will pack a 5000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. However, you will only get a 15W charging brick inside the retail box. The phone will run on One UI 4 based on Android 12. Moreover, he states that the quad-camera array at the back will be sporting a 64MP main sensor. It will have OIS enabled. In addition to the main sensor, the phone will also have an ultra-wide, macro, and maybe a telephoto lens this time.
Pricing
The pricing has not yet been speculated. However, we can expect a similar price to its predecessor.
