OnePlus has officially unveiled the OnePlus 10 Pro in China. The Chinese brand has put out two colors for the 10 Pro. Volcanic Black and Emerald Forest are the two options. Both colors have a matte finish on the back. Moreover, the leaked renders have turned out to be spot on.
The new flagship OnePlus 10 Pro houses an E5 OLED 6.7-inch curved display with a resolution of 3200×1440. In addition, the display has a 120Hz refresh rate and comes with LTPO 2.0 technology. This helps the phone vary the screen refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz to conserve battery. The phone weighs 200g and is 8.5mm thick. Moreover, the OnePlus 10 Pro comes with up to 12GB of fast LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
10 Pro comes with a triple rear camera setup; 48MP main, 50MP ultra-wide, and an 8MP telephoto. They have implemented Hasselblad 2.0 color science, further enhancing the overall performance. OnePlus has included 12-bit RAW image mode and 10-bit color by default. Furthermore, the ultra-wide lens has a 150-degree field of view. You also get a fisheye mode and movie mode as well. Here are some camera samples which the company released themselves:
The OnePlus 10 Pro packs a 5000 mAh battery which will charge from zero to full in no time due to 80W blazing fast charging speed. 10 Pro also supports 50W wireless charging. All this goodness is powered by the Snapdragon 8Gen1. OnePlus claims to have put their most advanced cooling system on a phone to date.
OnePlus promised their new Unified OS to debut with the 10-series. However, the OnePlus 10 Pro comes with ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12. So, where is the Unified OS? A lot of people have the same question. I guess that the Unified OS may debut with the global variant of the 10 Pro. However, there are still no rumors around the launch of Unified OS. Only time will tell whether we see the Unified OS on the global variant or not.
The 8+128 model of the 10 Pro will cost you 4699 yuan. While the 8+256 configuration is priced at 4999 yuan and the top-end 12+256 variant is priced at 5299 yuan.
No OnePlus 10?
An interesting thing to note is that no vanilla model is teased as of now. Only the Pro model has been launched in China. Does it mean that we won’t get a non-pro model? I don’t think that will be the case. Because, if there was no non-pro model, they wouldn’t have named this one the 10 Pro. So, fans can keep their hopes up for a much affordable flagship from OnePlus. OnePlus 10 may be the one with Dimensity 9000.
