Samsung’s Galaxy S22 series may see an increase in price this year. According to TheGalox, S22 will start at 899 euros. Moreover, he states that S22+ will start at 1099 euros and S22 Ultra will start at 1299 euros. These prices would mean a 50 euro increase than the S21 series. Take this rumor with a pinch of salt because Samsung tends to make late changes in its prices.
Launch Date
Samsung Galaxy S22 series is set to launch on the 8th of February, 2022. According to Jon Prosser, Samsung will receive pre-orders of its new flagship line-up on 9th February. While they will be made available to the public on the 25th of February. Samsung has failed to keep it’s upcoming flagship phones secret. All details including real-life images have been leaked. Official press images of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S22 series have been leaked by Mark Peters from LetsGoDigital. The leaked image confirms many previous leaks.
S22 Ultra
S22 Ultra will come in burgundy color with a black S-Pen with copper accents. According to the render, the top-end model would indeed be called the S22 Ultra, not the S22 Note as previously leaked. Although, the Note naming would have made perfect sense. It will be also available in green, black, and white colorways.
S22 And S22+
The vanilla S22 is also revealed in the leaked images. It seems like those dummy models that were leaked previously, were indeed very close to the real product. The S22 seems to be donning the same color combination as the phantom white S21 last year. The design looks very similar to its predecessor. However, there are some changes. The back-plate is flat and has no curve like last year. Moreover, a glossy glass back is reported to make a return on the vanilla S22 and S22+. They will come in green, white, pink gold, and black color options.
Specifications (Expected)
The specifications are already leaked, leaving nothing to the imagination. All three models will come with dynamic LTPO OLED screens with 120Hz refresh rates. The Ultra will come with an S-Pen slot and a boxy design, reminiscent of the Galaxy Note. S-Pen latency will be dropped down to an insane 2.8ms. S22 and S22+ will arrive with similar designs as their predecessors. The major change will be in their back-plates. The material used will be glass with a glossy finish and it won’t have a curve on the back this time. They will use Qualcomm’s latest 8Gen1 alongside the latest Exynos 2200 chipset in selected regions. All three models will come with upgrades in the camera department and will look to better their previous performances.
