Recently, Xiaomi has been getting stronger in the game. Whether you talk flagships, budget phones, mid-rangers, Xiaomi is in that bracket. The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra came in really strong in the market. Gave tough competition to brands like Apple & Samsung. However, now we are getting closer to the successor of the massive phone. There has been a few leaks and rumours here and there about the Xiaomi 12 Ultra, but nothing too exciting. Until now. Recently the camera specifications of the 12 Ultra have been leaked on the internet, along with a design mockup. Let me tell you something, this thing has a CAMERA BUMP.
Xiaomi 12 Ultra Leaked
The Xiaomi 12 series consists of three phones, the Xiaomi 12, the 12 Pro and finally the 12 Ultra. The 12 Ultra has been leaked with specifications and Molds. The phone is expected to launch in the spring of 2022.
Specifications
The Xiaomi 12 Ultra will get the latest and greatest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor along with at least 16GB ram and 512GB storage. The battery here is expected to be a huge 5000mAh cell. Nothing on the display is out yet but it seems like we will be getting an LTPO 2.0 panel.
Camera
Now, here is where the real leaks start and things get interesting. The Xiaomi 12 Ultra will have a quad-camera system. Starting with a 108MP second-generation sensor, and a 50MP sensor. The Ultra-wide and Ulta-telephoto are the other two sensors. The exact pixel count remains unknown but leaks suggest that they will have high numbers.
Looking at this, it calls that this phone will be such a competition in the way of Samsung. If done right, this might be the best camera smartphone on the planet.
Design
Coming to the design of the phones. The Xiaomi 12 5G and the 12 Pro 5G have similar designs. Both have 3 sensors placed at the corners of the device. One bigger sensor and the other two smaller sensors. But the Ultra seems to be completely different.
The back seems like a continuous slab of glass with a massive camera bump. The bump is in two stages. There is a square platform above the smartphone’s body with a massive circular bump over it.
The sides are a little rounded like traditional phones, in the bottom you see a USB-C port and speaker grills.
