A lot of people are asking the same question. Where is the Xiaomi 12 Ultra? Earlier, there were leaks about the design of the Mi 11 Ultra successor. However, no Ultra model of the Xiaomi 12 was launched alongside the 12, 12 Pro, and 12X.
No Xiaomi 12 Ultra!
Xiaomi 12 Ultra is dead according to a report from Xiaomi Central. There will be no phone named Xiaomi 12 Ultra. However, there will be a successor to the Mi 11 Ultra. Xiaomi will launch a flagship Ultra phone but under a different moniker. According to the report, Xiaomi Mix 5/Pro will be the successor to the 11 Ultra. It will be the first Xiaomi phone with a camera-centric collaboration with Leica. As per leaks and speculations, it will surely be a worthy successor to the Mi 11 Ultra.
Launch Date
Xiaomi Mix 5/Pro will launch after the Chinese Spring Festival. Hence, we might see it in March in China. At this point, OPPO and OnePlus would also be planning their global flagship launches. So, Xiaomi can also spoil their party by launching their Ultra phone globally at the same time.
Expected Specifications
There is no doubt about the overall capability that the Mix 5/Pro will possess. It will be packed with the most high-end features one can imagine. It may pack a huge 5000 mAh battery or maybe even larger. The phone may feature 120W fast charging with a similar fast wireless charging capability. Mix 5/Pro will most probably come with a huge 6.8″ LTPO OLED display with a high refresh rate. For the performance area, it will feature the latest and greatest from Qualcomm. Furthermore, with the collaboration with Leica, we can expect a huge leap in the quality of output from the cameras. These are all expected specifications that one would imagine. However, Xiaomi could surprise us with something even more spectacular than they previously have.
