Official press images of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S22 series have been leaked by Mark Peters from LetsGoDigital. The leaked image confirms many previous leaks.
S22 Ultra
It shows the S22 Ultra in a copper hue with a black S-Pen with copper accents. According to the render, the top-end model would indeed be called the S22 Ultra, not the S22 Note as previously leaked. Although, the Note naming would have made perfect sense.
S22 And S22+
The vanilla S22 is also revealed in the leaked image. It seems like those dummy models that were leaked previously, were indeed very close to the real product. The S22 seems to be donning the same color combination as the phantom white S21 last year. The design looks very similar to its predecessor. However, there are some changes. The back-plate is flat and has no curve like last year. Moreover, a glossy glass back is reported to make a return on the vanilla S22 and S22+.
Launch Date And Specifications
There are new reports of the timeline of the S22 series being moved. Jon Prosser, who leaked the dates previously, has reported that the pre-orders are now scheduled for February 9th, 2022. Furthermore, he states that the general availability is now scheduled for the 25th of February. He further states that his sources are stating a pretty significant supply chain issue.
The specifications are already leaked, leaving nothing to the imagination. All three models will come with dynamic LTPO OLED screens with 120Hz refresh rates. The Ultra will come with an S-Pen slot and a boxy design, reminiscent of the Galaxy Note. S22 and S22+ will arrive with similar designs as their predecessors. The major change will be in their back-plates. The material used will be glass with a glossy finish and it won’t have a curve on the back this time. They will use Qualcomm’s latest 8Gen1 alongside the latest Exynos chipset in selected regions. All three models will come with upgrades in the camera department and will look to better their previous performances.
