Oppo recently dropped some nukes in the smartphone world. They dropped the latest and greatest folding device the Oppo Find N. They didn’t stop there, we also saw some AR glasses and a retractable camera. Moreover, they also showcased their first-ever self-designed Imaging Neural Processing Unit (NPU). Now here a patent has been leaked by Oppo. The patent shows a new device with an under-display camera as well as a secondary display on the back. This might be the Oppo Find X4 Patent.
Oppo Find X4 Pro Patent
The Oppo Find X4 Pro will be the next flagship to continue the legacy of the Oppo Find X series. Here is a design patent that Guangdong Oppo Mobile Telecommunications has filed with the CNIPA (China National International Property Administration) on September 1, 2020. This now has been released and covered by Let’sGoDigital.
18 of the 48 images have been shown. However, on the front, we see a bezel-less, cut-out less continuous display. The corners are rounded. But no edge can be seen, indicating that it is a flat display.
On the back of the phone, we see a quad-camera system under a square glass slab. Now, right beside the glass slab, we see a secondary display. The secondary display I think will be mostly used to make up for the lower quality selfie camera. A user will be able to capture selfies using the back camera.
Other than that, the back of the device is flat with only the camera area protruding out. It is an interesting design choice nonetheless. On the side, the frame is very slim, with a small recess for the buttons. It seems as Oppo is experimenting will all the different kinds. From folding to dual-display.
