OnePlus Nord 2 CE has been leaked by 91mobiles via tipster Yogesh Brar. It is a direct sequel to the previous core edition phone, OnePlus Nord CE. The previous core edition phone had very mixed reviews. The major complaints were the buggy software, below-par cameras, average performance, and lack of an alert slider. It didn’t feel like a OnePlus phone at all. OnePlus Nord CE failed to impress most of the consumers.
Design
OnePlus Nord 2 CE has the same 90Hz OLED screen with a punch-hole for selfie camera in the top-left corner. However, the back-plate is where the difference from its predecessor is prominent. On the back, it looks very similar to a Realme GT Neo 2. There is a triple-camera setup on the back which is accompanied by a flash. The Gray color variant has been leaked while there is an Olive Green variant in the works too. Here is a comparison between the GT Neo 2 and the OnePlus Nord 2 CE.
Specifications
The OnePlus Nord 2 CE is said to be using a MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G chipset. It will arrive with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage which will be expandable with a MicroSD card. Nord 2 CE is said to have a dedicated memory card slot with dual sim support. In addition, the display is a 90Hz OLED screen that sizes up to 6.4″. It is reported to have a 64MP primary OmniVision sensor which is the same as the last generation. Moreover, it will also come with an 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro lens. The front camera will be a 16MP sensor on the top-left corner of the display. Furthermore, the Nord 2 CE will pack a 4500 mAh battery with 65W fast wired charging support.
Sadly, the alert slider has not made a return even after a lot of criticism. On the left, there are the volume rockers. While on the right side, there is the power button. The phone will also come with dual stereo speakers. It retains the 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port at the bottom. Nord 2 CE will have an in-display fingerprint sensor. Moreover, it is likely to run Oxygen OS 12 skin based on Android 12.
Pricing And Launch Date
It is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2022. While, as far as pricing is concerned, nothing is leaked about it yet. But, we can expect it to launch at a similar price bracket as its predecessor.
