OPPO Pakistan has tweeted that their first foldable, OPPO Find N, will be coming to Pakistan on the 15th of December. This is some news for Pakistani consumers. Nobody expected the folding phone to launch in Pakistan. After OPPO didn’t launch the Find X3 series officially in Pakistan, the Find N launch was not expected at all.
However, now that it’s confirmed that OPPO Find N will be indeed launching in Pakistan, OPPO has surprised all of us. The Find N is the first mainstream foldable made by OPPO. It comes with the bleeding edge specifications that we all expect from a 2021 flagship.
Design And Specifications
OPPO Find N is very compact if we compare it to other folding phones in the market. Here is a comparison with some phones:
The official marketing renders show a triple-camera setup on the back. The camera module is lifted from the back-plate like the Find X3 Pro. The main sensor is a Sony IMX766 sensor. In addition, the other two sensors are 16MP and 13MP ultrawide and telephoto lenses presumably. The phone will pack a 4500 mAh battery with 33W wired and 15W wireless charging. Moreover, there will be a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Furthermore, the OPPO Find N will run Color OS 12 specifically designed for foldable devices. The outer screen will be a 6.5″ 60Hz OLED panel. The internal screen will be an 8″ LTPO OLED 120Hz display with a very minimal crease. However, the bezels seem very pronounced but don’t bother as much. Lastly, OPPO has decided to use the Snapdragon 888 for the OPPO Find N.
Edge Over Fold 3
Samsung’s Fold 3 is the main competitor for the Find N. Fold 3 is very refined as it is the third generation. However, there are two major things OPPO has presumably done better. Firstly, the outer screen has an aspect ratio similar to normal phones. Secondly, the crease is very minimal at least in the renders and early images.
Pricing
Pricing is not yet confirmed. Leaks are pointing towards a more hefty price tag than the Fold 3. But, I don’t think that is true. It must be less expensive than Fold 3 to compete. Otherwise, most people won’t consider this over the Fold 3.
