Spotify has recently bought this news to the internet that a SPOTIFYxNETFLIX collaboration is happening. They call it the Netflix Hub. It will be a new section in Spotify where users get access to some limited music and content. Here is everything you need to know about the Netflix Hub
While the name in no way tells about what the collaboration is gonna be, it is what it is. However, there will be a separate section in Spotify for Netflix related content. You will be able to find services for Netflix-related media, including content exclusively provided by Spotify. This will have playlists of series like “La Casa Da Papel”, “Breaking Bad”, or “Squid Game” having their BG music, theme songs, exclusive podcasts and more.
It is a nice collaboration, especially if you are always the one who after watching a show on Netflix immediately searches for that one specific song or that music that was playing in the background. These searches could be very difficult, but now it might be easier than ever.
This isn’t actually something brand new. In 2019 Netflix, in collaboration with Disney+ launched the Disney Center. It also provided users with music related to Disney+ shows and podcasts etc.
Spotify is still doing very well in terms of subscriptions, but others like Apple Music and Amazon Music seem to be catching up. In the third quarter of this year, the number of Spotify paid users has increased, but with the increasingly fierce competition. That is why Spotify wants to launch these new features to attract more people.
Can you get Netflix Hub?
Well for starters the feature will be available for paid, as well as free users, but there is a catch. The Netflix Hub will be available to free and paid users only in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland and India. Means some of us will need a VPN to enjoy this one.
